The Early Years admissions process is simple, personalised and open all year round. We support each family at every step to ensure a smooth, caring transition.
Our greatest objective is for students at British School of Vila-real to learn what they need to know in order to act as competent citizens who understand, think, analyse and act with confidence.
Discovering worlds through words
English is the main language of learning in the classroom, enabling children to acquire the language naturally from their earliest years. Through songs, stories, games, conversations and age-appropriate activities, they gradually develop their understanding and spoken expression, while beginning to become familiar with reading and writing.
This immersive approach fosters communication confidence, curiosity and a strong linguistic foundation for their future academic journey.
Enhancing logical thinking
Mathematics is discovered through a hands-on, practical and engaging approach that awakens students’ natural interest in numbers and logic. Through specific resources, games, experimentation and challenges adapted to their stage of development, they explore concepts such as numbers, shapes, measurements, patterns and simple problem-solving.
In this way, they develop logical thinking, observation skills and the confidence to approach new learning experiences.
Learning the national language
Spanish learning is naturally integrated into the daily routine through stories, songs, games, conversations and dynamic activities. Students progressively expand their vocabulary, improve their understanding and begin to express themselves confidently in different situations.
This communicative approach supports the development of spoken language, social interaction and the acquisition of a strong foundation that will enable them to thrive with confidence in a bilingual environment.
Making sense of words
This programme is one of the cornerstones of early reading and writing in English. Through structured, dynamic and multisensory sessions, students learn to identify sounds, associate them with letters and gradually form words. This process strengthens pronunciation, reading comprehension and communication confidence, providing an essential foundation for success across all areas of the curriculum.
Growing emotional intelligence
Through cooperative games, group activities and everyday situations, students learn to identify and express their emotions, develop empathy, respect others and build positive relationships.
At the same time, they strengthen their independence, self-esteem and ability to resolve small conflicts, growing in a safe environment where they feel listened to and valued.
Staying fit
Physical development activities support students’ holistic growth through experiences adapted to each stage of development. Through play, psychomotor circuits and coordination exercises, they improve their balance, strength, fine and gross motor skills and body awareness. They also acquire healthy habits and discover the value of physical activity as an essential part of an active, balanced and healthy lifestyle.
Freeing the inner self
This area offers many opportunities for children to develop their imagination and express their emotions freely and creatively. Through art activities, music, dance, drama and imaginative play, they experiment with different materials, sounds and forms of expression.
The creative process fosters confidence, curiosity, communication skills and original thinking, contributing to each student’s holistic development.

Through a Learning.First™ approach, active methodologies and continuous assessment, we identify each child’s needs to support their progress in a personalised way. Continuous improvement guides our daily work, ensuring a solid foundation for their academic future.
Golden Time is a special moment dedicated to recognising effort, celebrating achievements and reinforcing positive attitudes in the classroom. Through motivating activities and experiences chosen by the students themselves, we encourage responsibility, positive relationships and commitment to learning. This recognition strengthens self-esteem, increases motivation and helps create an environment where every child feels valued for their progress.
From Early Years, children develop essential life skills that help them grow with confidence, security and independence.
Through play, exploration and cooperative work, they learn to communicate, solve small challenges, adapt to new situations and build positive relationships with their peers, creating a strong emotional and social foundation.
Students acquire English progressively and naturally while continuing to develop their mother tongue in a bilingual environment.
Through daily routines, songs, stories and meaningful learning experiences, they are exposed to a multilingual context from the earliest years, fostering communication confidence and an open-minded outlook on the world from childhood.
Projects & discovering the world
Through themed and interdisciplinary projects, students actively and meaningfully explore the world around them. They investigate nature, science, people, different cultures and technology through practical experiences that awaken their curiosity.
This approach encourages observation, questioning, critical thinking and a desire to discover, creating connections between different areas of learning.
Continuous learning
Continuous learning spaces enable each student to explore, investigate and consolidate knowledge at their own pace. Through carefully selected resources and both guided and freely chosen activities, children make decisions, develop their independence and strengthen cognitive, social and creative skills.
This environment supports active, personalised learning based on constant experimentation.
Library and reading
The library is a space designed to inspire a love of reading from a very early age. Through stories, shared storytelling, conversations and book-related activities, students develop oral comprehension, expand their vocabulary and stimulate their imagination.
As well as encouraging reading habits, this shared time strengthens curiosity, concentration and the pleasure of discovering new stories.
Supporting children’s development through play-based learning, and seeing them grow in confidence, curiosity and independence, is both inspiring and rewarding. In addition, the strong sense of teamwork among colleagues creates a supportive environment that truly feels like one big happy family.
