9am – 09.15am Students begin with their tutor, reviewing goals, work organisation and attendance, while developing independence and planning skills.
Specialist lessons
09.15am – 11.45am A Level lessons begin, giving students the opportunity to explore their subjects in greater depth through a more specialised, analytical and university-focused approach.
Break
11.45am – 12.05pm A chance to pause, recharge and socialise before continuing with the school day.
Ongoing learning
12.05pm – 1.45pm Students continue with their lessons, combining guided learning with opportunities for independent work, research and project development.

At this stage, students study A Levels with a high level of specialisation and benefit from personalised support that helps them reach their full potential. Through individual monitoring, tailored tutoring and ongoing academic support, each student receives the guidance they need to progress confidently towards their academic and professional goals.
This approach is reflected in their results: 42% of A Level grades achieved by BSVR students were A*– A, compared with the UK national average of 28% in 2025.
Through the Life Competencies programme, projects, presentations and collaborative work, students strengthen their communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
