British School of Vila-real was founded, marking the beginning of a pioneering educational project in the province of Castellón, based on British education and bilingual learning.
Educational growth
Throughout its early years, the school progressively expanded its educational stages, establishing itself as a comprehensive and leading school in Castellón.
Academic consolidation
The creation of the Sixth Form building and the graduation of the first cohort marked a key milestone in the maturity of the educational project.

The founding of British School of Vila-real in 1996 marked the beginning of an innovative educational project in the province.
From the very beginning, the school has been committed to high-quality English-language education, laying the foundations for a distinctive academic model focused on students’ holistic development and international outlook.
During its first decade, the school evolved from the early years of Early Childhood Education to include Primary and Secondary.
This growth enabled the school to offer a complete educational pathway, strengthening pedagogical continuity and positioning it as a benchmark for British education in the province.
The construction of the Sixth Form building in 2009 and the graduation of the first cohort in 2010 represented a decisive step in the school’s consolidation.
This progress strengthened the school’s ability to support students throughout every educational stage, culminating in a complete education focused on university access.
This was a transformative milestone for BSVR as they became a proud member of International Schools Partnership - ISP.
As a member of ISP, British School of Vila-real maintained its unique ethos while also reaping the rewards of being part of one of the world’s largest and most respected school groups.
These benefits included a variety of international learning opportunities for our students, such as cultural exchange programmes, and global collaboration projects and competitions, which provide students with experiences and connections that span borders and cultures. The world just became our classroom.
